Hey. Thanks for having me. I appreciate it. It’s always fantastic to speak to everybody. Let’s get started here.
Would you like to have a lot more money in your life and would you like to have a lot more happiness in your life? If you said yes to that, you have come to the right place. My name is T. Harv Eker and welcome to the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth.
The first thing I want to do is I want to acknowledge you for being with us today. There’s a saying that says 80 percent of success is just what—anybody know? Showing up. Congratulations for being here.
Since we’re going to spend the next little while together, I hope it’s okay if I tell you just a little bit about myself. I guess my claim to fame is that I owned at least a dozen different businesses before the age of 30. Included in one of those businesses was opening up one of the first retail fitness stores in all of North America.
The interesting thing about that company is that I started that business with only $2,000 that I borrowed on my VISA card. From there, using the principles that I now teach, I was able to open 10 stores in only two and a half years and then sold half of the company shares to the H. J. Heinz Corporation— you know, the ketchup people—for $1.6 million. After that I kind of semi-retired and moved down to San Diego.
I started doing some private one-on-one consulting and I guess it was pretty effective for people because they started bringing friends and managers and staff and partners and family and pretty soon it was one-on-two and then one-on-five and then one-on-ten and someone suggested, “Harv, you might as well open up a school already.” I said, “You know what? That is such a good idea,” and I did.
I founded this three-part business school and taught thousands of people all across North America Street Smart Business Strategies for High Speed Success. It was during these seminars that I noticed something. I noticed something very, very, very, very, very, very, very strange. Would you like to know what it was? Well, maybe I’ll tell you next time.
No what it was is simply this that you can actually have two people sitting side by side in exactly the same room, learning exactly the same principles and strategies, and one person would take these tools and they would skyrocket to success. But what do you think would happen to the person maybe sitting right beside them? The answer is, of course, not a heck of a lot.
I realized right there you can actually have to have the greatest tools in the world, but if you have just a tiny leak in your toolbox—and I’m pointing to my head right now—then we have a little problem. So I began designing a program based on the inner game of money and success. When we blended and combined the inner game with the outer tools virtually everybody’s results went through the roof.
It’s very important to realize that we live in a world of duality. Some examples of this I’m sure you’re familiar with, up and down, light and dark, hot and cold, in and out, right and left. I mean, the very obvious ones here. Take right and left. Is it possible to have a right side without a left side? Of course not, it’s a comparison.
That means just as they are outer laws to money, therefore there must be inner laws. The fact is that most people are quite unconscious. They work only on a very superficial level of life only based on what they can see, only based in the visible world.
If you happen to have a pen and paper handy with you, you might want to draw what I draw on the board when I’m doing this live. When I’m drawing the flip chart, I draw basically a tree. It’s the tree of life. On this tree, you draw some fruits, right? So there’s fruits on the tree. The fruits are called what? Our results.
We take a look at our results of our life or our fruits and we don’t like them. They’re too small. They don’t taste good. There’s not enough of them. What do we tend to do? Don’t we tend to focus more and more of our attention on those results and those fruits? Of course we do. But what’s the problem?
Now underneath the ground draw those roots. The problem is that if you focus on the fruit, you’re never going to change the tree. You cannot change the fruit. The only way to change the fruit is to actually work in the roots to change the roots. You have to work under the ground beneath what is visible.
Now is this sometimes or all the time? It’s all the time because this is the way it is in nature and I’m sure you’re going to agree, at least I hope you will, that we are all a part of nature. From nature it’s always what’s below the ground creates what’s above the ground. What’s not visible creates what’s visible. It’s the same with us.
One of the most important things I think a person can ever understand is that we don’t live in only one realm alone. We live in at least four different worlds at once. Again if you have a pen and paper, take it and draw a bit of a cross with four quadrants in it. On the upper left hand side, draw the letter M. That stands for the mental world. On the upper right hand side draw the letter E. That stands for the emotional world. On the lower left hand side draw the letter S. That stands for the spiritual world of course. On the lower right hand side draw the letter P. That of course stands for the physical material world.
What most people never understand is that your physical material world, what actually happens for you, the results in your life, is nothing more than a printout. I repeat a printout of the other three areas. So circle the M, the E, and the S and then draw that circle towards the P because it’s those three that create your physical reality.
What does that mean in terms of finances? It means this. The fact is that money is just a result. Wealth is a result. Health is a result. Illness is a result. Your weight is a what? A result. We live in a world of cause and effect.
How many of you have ever heard anybody allude to the fact that a lack of money was a bit of a problem. Let me say this right now. A lack of money my friend is never, ever, ever, ever, ever a problem. It is never a problem. A lack of money is merely a symptom of what’s going on underneath. Lack of money is just the result. What is the root cause?
It boils down to this, that the only way to permanently and I repeat permanently change your outer world is to first change your inner world. I want to offer you something called a declaration. Now what’s a declaration? It’s a statement that you make basically out loud. We’re going to do this together on the phone here and I know a lot of you are thinking, “Oh my gosh, is this ever hokey.”
The way I figure it is simply this. I’d rather be really hokey and really rich than really cool and really broke. How about you? Here’s what I want you to do. I want you to put your hand on your heart and repeat the following with me. “My inner world creates my outer world.” Let’s do this together. Let’s go. My inner world creates my outer world. Now go ahead and touch your head and say, “I have a Millionaire Mind.” All right, good job. Let’s have some fun with it too.
I’m very well known on radio and television and even in the very back of my book, the very first line for making the very following statement. The statement is this, give me five minutes with anyone and I can predict your financial future for the rest of your life. That’s right.
How in a short conversation I can identify what’s called your Money Blueprint. You see each of us has a personal Money Blueprint already ingrained in our subconscious mind and my friends it is this blueprint more than anything and everything else all combined that will determine your financial life.
You can be the best business person. You can be the best negotiator, the best marketer, the best salesperson, the best communicator, the best manager. You could be an expert at your job. You could know every technique and strategy about real estate. You can know every single thing about stocks and finances but if your subconscious Money Blueprint is not set for a high level of success, you will never, I repeat never amass a large amount of money and if by chance you do, you will somehow manage to lose it.
Let me give you an example if I may. I’m sure we’ve all heard of Donald Trump. Here’s this multi-billionaire who loses everything and more, two years later he’s got it all back again and more. Why? Because his money blueprint is set for high.
On the other side of the coin, we have lottery winners. We’ve all heard the stories. They win 5, 10, 50, 100 million dollars five years later virtually half of them are right back to where they started. Why? Their Money Blueprint is set for low.
How is this important blueprint formed? The blueprint consists primarily based on the informational programming you received in the past, especially as a young child. Tell me who were some of the primary sources of this information or programming? We all know parents, siblings, authority figures, teachers, religious leaders, media, culture, and the like.
Take culture. Isn’t it true that certain cultures have a certain way of thinking and dealing with money and other cultures have a completely different way of thinking and dealing with money? Yes? Let me ask you a question. Does a child come out of the womb doing money that way or were they taught how to do money that way?
The fact is we were all taught how to do money and many of us were taught by people who either didn’t have a lot of it or they had a lot of emotional issues around it. Their ways of being and thinking automatically became our ways on an unconscious level and then we just follow the leader. We don’t even recognize that it may not be supporting us.
How are we conditioned or taught? Three primary methods of conditioning. Number one, verbal programming. That’s all about what did you hear when you were young. Number two, modeling. That’s all about what did you see when you were young. And number three, specific incidents. That’s all about what did you experience around money, success, wealth and rich people in your past.
Let’s talk about verbal programming. What were some of the phrases that you heard about money, success, and rich people when you were growing up? I mean, in my seminars, I hear all kinds of things when people call these out. Money’s the root of all evil. Rich people are greedy, filthy rich. You have to work hard to make money, right? You can’t be rich and spiritual. Money doesn’t bring happiness. Money doesn’t buy you love. Money doesn’t grow on trees. By the way, has anybody ever heard this one? We can’t afford it or there is never enough or not right now.
You want to hear my father’s favorite? Whenever I asked him for anything he’d growl at me and go hey what am I made of money. I used to joke around with him. I’d go I wish Dad. I’ll take an arm, a leg. I’ll take a baby finger. He never laughed once.
Anyways, all the statements you heard, every single last one of them is still lodged in your subconscious mind and part of the blueprint that is running your financial life without you even knowing why you make that intelligent, hopefully, choices you do but they may not be supportive.
Let’s go to the next one modeling. Here’s an interesting one. What were your parents like in the arena of money when you were growing up? Did one or both of them manage money well or did they mismanage money? Were they spenders or were they savers? Were they shrewd investors or were they non-investors?
Did money come fairly easily in your household or was it always a struggle? Let me ask you this, was money a source of joy in your home too or was it a source of bitter arguments? Why is this important? Well you probably heard the saying monkey see, monkey do. You know what? Humans aren’t far behind.
Generally, most of us will tend to be exactly like one or a combination of both of our parents in the arena of money. Unless we come exactly the opposite. Now why would someone be the opposite of their parents? Well depends on how angry you were with them or how angry you were with the situation you were living in.
This one’s important, really important; it’s specific incidents. What did you experience around money, success, wealth, and rich people when you were young? There’s a story in my book about a woman who when she was eight years old she would hear the clanging of the ice cream truck coming down the street. She would run to her mom and ask her mom for a quarter and her mom would say, “Sorry dear. I don’t have any money. Go ask dad. Dad’s got all the money.” She’d run toward dad, she’d go get her quarter; she’d go get her ice cream. She was a happy camper.
The next week she’d hear the clanging of the ice cream truck coming down the street. She’d run down to her mom and ask her mom for a quarter and her mom would say, remember what it was? “Sorry dear. I don’t have any money. Go ask your dad.” Dad’s got all the what? Money. She’d run to her dad, she’d go get her quarter; she’d go get her ice cream. She was a happy camper.
Pretty soon, what did she learn about money? Well the first thing she learned was what. Men have all the money. So when she got married what do you think she expected of her husband? I’ll tell you what it wasn’t quarters anymore. Somehow she had graduated.
The second thing she had learned was what? That women don’t have money. Mom, the deity, the model, didn’t have any money so obviously she learned that’s the way for a women to be. To validate that way of being, any money she did have she’d have to do what? She’d have to get rid of it in order to validate that way of being.
So if she had $100 she’d spend $100, $200, $200, $500 spent $500, $1000 she spent $1000. Then she took one of my business courses. She learned all about leverage and he gave her $2,000 she’d spend $10,000. It was the only thing that they fought about was money. Thank goodness they learned to completely recondition each of their own Money Blueprints and more importantly how to create a third blueprint that works for the relationship and they learned that in our three-day Millionaire Mind Intensive. I’m sure many of you know about it. It’s world famous.
We have probably completely radically changed the lives of probably half a million people at least by tens of thousand of couples who have had issues around money and of course that’s the number one problem for most relationships. It’s the number one cause of all breakups.
By the way, it’s not just romantic relationships. It’s business relationships. It’s family relationships. It’s kids and parents relationships. If you just know a couple of these areas here that we teach you at the three-day Millionaire Minds Intensive and we can work with you on that blueprint. Many people used to say they used to fight about money every single day and they’ve never had a single fight or argument or discussion around money other than a nice one ever since and it’s been years and years and years.
It’s all in the blueprint. The fact is my friends you’re not even arguing with the other person. It’s your blueprint arguing with their blueprint. We’ll rectify that.
The big question is this, what is your current money blueprint set for? What are you set for? Well how can you tell? Well the easiest way is obvious. Look at your results. Look at your income. Do you earn $25,000, $50,000, $75,000, $100,000, $200,000, $500,000, a million dollars a year? Every one of those is determined by your blueprint.
Do you work long and hard for your money or do you have a nice balance in your life? That’s your blueprint to action. Is your income consistent or inconsistent? Are you a saver or a spender, a good money manager or a poor one? Do you tend to pick winning investments or do you pick losers? All part of the money blueprint.
Let me ask you this. Do you worry about money quite a bit or are you really easygoing? Do you trust people around money or are you distrusting? Every one of those is a result of your blueprint, your thoughts lead to that way of thinking to those choices that you make and those feelings that you have.
Now let me put it this way. If the temperature in the room is 72 degrees, chances are really good that the thermostat in the room is set for how much guys? 72 degrees. Now here’s where it gets really interesting. Is it possible because the windows are open outside and it’s very cold there that the temperature in the room could say drop to say 65 degrees? And the answer of course is yes.
What will eventually happen? That’s right. The thermostat will kick in and drive that temperature back to 72. Now is it possible because the windows are open and it’s very hot outside the temperature in the room could go to 77 degrees. And the answer, of course again, is yes. But what will eventually happen? This thermostat will kick in and drive it back to 72, meaning the only way to permanently, I repeat permanently, I repeat permanently change the temperature in that room is to change that thermostat.
The same with us, the only way to permanently change your financial life is to change your financial thermostat otherwise known as your Money Blueprint. One more time, thoughts lead to feelings lead to actions lead to results. Meaning, again, it all begins with how you think. What we’re going to do right now is we’re going to examine just a few of the ways that rich and successful people might think differently than most broke and unsuccessful people in order to consider adopting those ways.
By the way, these are kind of fun and very simple but, man, are they effective. The simplest things can make such a radical difference in your life as long as you’re working from the roots instead of the fruits. All right let’s begin.
Write this down. Rich people believe, “I create my life.” Most other people believe, “Life happens to me.” Now if you want to create real success my friends, it is imperative that you believe that you are at the steering wheel of your life. You have to believe that you are the one who creates your success. You are the one who creates your mediocrity and you are the one who creates any financial struggle you might have. Consciously or unconsciously, it’s still you.
Instead of taking full responsibility for their lot in life, most people play the role of the victim. You can always tell a victim because they leave three indelible clues. We’re going to go over those clues right now but before we do I want you to realize that I do understand that nothing that we’re going to discuss right now has anything to do with anyone on this particular call right now.
But just in case you happen to know somebody who should be on it, make sure you invite them for next time. The first thing they do—write this down—is they blame. They blame. They blame the economy. They blame their type of business. They blame the stock market. They blame the real estate market.
They blame the city they live in. They blame the taxes. They blame the government. They blame their employer. They blame their employees. They blame their manager. They blame their partner.
They blame their upline. They blame their downline. They blame their husband. They blame their wife. Almost everybody wants to blame their parents for something. It’s always someone else. It’s always something else. It’s never themselves.
Now the second thing that they tend to do and write this one down please is justify. They justify their situation by saying something like well you know, money’s not really important.
Let me ask you a question. If you said that your husband or your wife or your boyfriend or girlfriend wasn’t really important would they be around for very long? I don’t think so. Neither would money. In my main seminars, Millionaire Mind Intensive, people come up to me all the time when they’re just beginning and they’ll come up at the break and they’ll go, “Herv, money’s not all that important.”
I’ll look down at them from the stage and I’ll go, you’re broke aren’t you? They’ll go, well right now I’m a little short. I go no. Not right now. Always. You’ve always been broke, yes or yes. And they stand there with their mouths open like a fish and they’re going uhhhhhhh, uhhhhhhh, uhhhhhhhh with their hands up in frustration.
Of course they’re broke. Let me ask you a question. If you don’t think having a motorcycle was important would you have one? Of course not. If you don’t think having a pet bird was important would you have one? Would you buy one? Of course not. If you don’t think money’s important would you have any? Of course not.
You know you can actually dazzle your friends with this information. Next time one of your friends says something lame like that that money’s not important, put your hand on your forehead, look up to the heavens and then look back to that person and go, you’re broke. They’re going to go how did you know. You’re going to look back up to the heavens with your hand on your forehead and as a clairvoyant and then you look back at them and go, what else do you want to know? That’ll be 50 bucks please, with your hand sticking out.
Let me put it this way. Anyway who says money isn’t important doesn’t have any. Now there’s some people on the line today going to go well it’s not the most important thing. It’s not as important as love. Well what’s the comparison? Where’d you get that from. Like what’s more important your arm or your leg. Maybe they’re both important in what they do for you.
By the way, if you said that, make sure you’re sitting in the front of that room at the Millionaire Mind Intensive. That’s all I can say.
Let’s go to the third clue here. Write this down please. Complaining, complaining. Complaining is the worst possible thing you could do for your health or your wealth. The worst. Why? One of our other programs is called Wizard Training and that’s all about how do you manifest what you want with elegance and ease instead of a lot of struggle. The only way you can do that is by using natural principles, Mother Nature, the laws of the universe and being in alignment with them versus out of alignment with them.
In that course, Wizard Training, we teach these principles and one of them I’m sure you know. It says this, what you focus on expands. I’ll repeat it. What you focus on expands. When you are complaining, let me ask you a question, what are you focusing on? What’s right with your life or what’s wrong with it?
When you’re complaining, you’re actually focusing on what’s wrong with your life. Since what you focus on expands you’re now going to get more of what’s wrong with your life. When you are complaining you are actually attracting crap into your life. When you are complaining you turn into this big, giant human crap magnet.
Have you ever noticed that complainers usually have a crappy life? They go, well of course I complain. Look how crappy my life is. Now you know better so you can look at them and go no. It’s because you complain that your life is so crappy. Shut up and don’t stand near me.
I have an action plan for you, a little bit of homework. Here it is. For seven days, no complaining. Not just out loud but not even in your mind. It has to be a full seven days. Why? Because you still might have some residual crap coming to you from before. Because crap doesn’t travel at the speed of light you know. It travels at the speed of crap and it’s really, really slow. It might take you a few days to clear that stuff out.
All right, let’s do the declaration. My favorites. Put your hand on your heart, repeat after me. I create the exact level of my financial success. Let’s do it together. I create the exact level of my financial success. Now touch your head and say I have a Millionaire Mind. Good job.
Let’s go to the next one here. Write this down please. Rich and successful people, write this, admire and model, again admire and model, other rich and successful people. Most unsuccessful people, write this down, resent the heck out of them don’t they? Most poor and most middle-class people often look at other people’s success with a tinge of resentment or jealousy or envy or anger or they say they’re so lucky or they whisper underneath their breath those rich jerks. Who do they think they are?
Now you have to realize something so simple that can change your life. That if you view rich people as bad in any way, shape or form and you want to be a good person, guess what? You can never be rich. How can you be something you resent or dislike? You could never attempt to be that.
I’m going to ask you to practice. Instead of resenting rich people, I want you to practice admiring rich people. I want you to practice blessing rich people. I want you to practice loving rich people. That way you unconsciously know that when you get rich other people will what? They’ll admire and bless and love you instead of hate you. All right, a much better support a belief for creating wealth than the other.
I want to share with you something that changed my life. It’s from the Huna Philosophy and you know Huna comes from Hawaii. Write this down please. It could be the most important thing that you use every single day and it says this. Write it down. Bless that which you want. Once again, bless that which you want.
What that means is this if you see someone with a beautiful home, bless that home and bless that person a beautiful house. If you see somebody with a beautiful car, wonderful car, bless that car and bless that person. Someone with a fantastic business, bless that business and bless that person. Somebody with a great family, bless the family and bless that person. Why? Because anything that you negate, you can never have.
All right, time for the declaration. Please repeat after me with your hand on your heart. I admire and model rich and successful people. Let’s do it together. I admire and model rich and successful people. Now touch your head and say I have a Millionaire Mind.
We’ve been talking a lot about money and a lot of people might be thinking on the phone here, hey, this guy’s all about money. The fact is we teach several different programs and we teach all the personal development, relationships. We teach a lot of elements here. But I do believe money’s important and let me tell you why I believe that.
Again, I’m not asking you to believe a word I say. I’m just asking you to try it out in your own life and see what works for you in reality. You can drop what you don’t like. That’s fair enough for you.
I’ve been called by many magazines and TV shows, “T. Harv Eker, he’s a financial evangelist.” I’m actually proud of that because I think someone needs to stand up for us here. Let me give you three reasons why I believe it’s imperative to get rich. I don’t just say do okay.
I said get rich. I’m an evangelist for getting rich and that doesn’t just mean oh barely able to make it. That means lots of money. Of course rich means lots of things but in this case I’m talking about a lot of money.
Three reasons. Number one, lifestyle. I don’t think I have to convince anybody that it’s a much nicer lifestyle for the most part if you’ve got money than if you don’t, especially the travel. I travel a lot and I’ll tell you what, first class is just a much nicer experience and than the other. You get to come to the airport much later. You get different line ups. Your security lineup is different. It’s in a minute instead of two hours. The seating are different. The food, you get better pretzels. All kind of important things like that.
Literally and there’s all kinds of ways you get to eat nicer food. Not just on a plane but in restaurants. You don’t have to worry about what happens when don’t have money. I went through that too in my early stages. When you go to a restaurant where do you look at the menu? You look on the right hand side of the menu. You’re looking at the prices. You don’t even know what the food is. You look at a certain section that you can afford price-wise.
The menu says $29.95, $27.95 and you’re not even looking at what it is. Then you look down $10.95. Okay I think I’ll have that. Oh it’s the chicken again. I think the best thing about money on that for the lifestyle is you don’t have to worry about it. You can have what you want. You don’t have to go overboard. You can get some toys but that phase is going to leave you pretty quickly and you can move into the next stages. That’s lifestyle.
Number two – I believe this that if you have the wherewithal to get rich it is your duty; it is your obligation to do so. By the way if you’re on this call right now you have the wherewithal or you’d never have picked up the line. This is the way the universe shows you that you’re in the right place. Now what does that mean?
It’s your duty to get rich. Why? Simply so that you can help the people who simply do not have that wherewithal. There are not thousands or tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands or millions but literally billions, billions of people all around the world that will never have the wherewithal. Forget about getting rich but to even have a decent meal or some decent clothes to wear or some decent medicines that they’re not always feeling sick and dying.
Literally it’s up to the people, I think. I think this is my own humble opinion, it’s up to people who have an opportunity like we do living in this wonderful country and this wonderful continent to get rich so that we can help those other people all around the world including right in our own backyard.
You know it shouldn’t be, in my opinion, the government that takes the taxes from the rich and gives it to those people. It should be us. You get rich you decide what underprivileged or people who need some help you want to support. That’s what I believe anyways. I believe this too. One of the things you’re going to learn in the Million Mind Intensive is that certainly that you want to earn a lot of money for yourself. You also want to gift a certain percentage of this.
But what if this, how many of you right now would love to be able—we have a formula that we use that we say basically about 10 percent of your money is what goes to gifting to charity or whatever. A lot of people know about that. Here’s the thing though. It’s a lot easier when you’re rich than when you’re broke isn’t it. Here’s the thing. What if the goal, which is one of the goals of Million Mind Intensive and one of the goals of Peak Potentials and my philosophy is what if we could help people gift, give away, $100,000 a year, a year.
What does that mean? That means you’d have to be earning what? A million dollars a year. That sounds good to me. People go what a million dollars a year, who can’t. That is our goal. That is your goal when you work with us. You’re earning a million dollars a year so that you can give and gift away $100,000. Nice right?
The third reason to get rich is this for who you have to become. Who in character, in mindset, in attitude, in habits. Who you have to become in the process of creating wealth in order to be successful enough in any endeavor, who do you have to be. The goal of wealth is not just about money. The goal of wealth like any other goal is to bring you as a person to a higher level in order to succeed at anything well enough to where you can get rich from it you have to have grown substantially in who you are. Again your character, your mindset, your attitudes, your traits, your habits.
That’s just my opinion of why you want to get rich and I’m all for it. Again, as I mentioned earlier, we have an amazing book called Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. How many of you ever heard the saying you can’t have your cake and eat it too? Listen. I just want you to know that I have this mini opinion that that thing has to be the all time stupidest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. What on earth is the use of having cake if you’re not going to eat it?
Where’re you supposed to put the darn stuff? What are you supposed to do with it? The fact is this that you can have your cake and eat it too. In fact I’m going to read you directly from one of the wealth principles in my book. There’s 54 of them from Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. It says this rich people believe they can have their cake and eat it too. Middle class people believe cake is too rich so only have a little piece. Poor people don’t believe they deserve cake so they order a donut, focus on the hole, and wonder why I have nothing.
Let’s do the declaration. Here we go. Put your hand on your heart. I can be kind, generous and loving and really, really rich. Let me hear you. I can be kind, generous and loving and really, really rich. Now touch your head and say I have a Millionaire Mind. Good job.
Let’s go. Let’s see if we can do another one here. Write this one down. Rich and successful people are bigger than their problems, bigger than their problems. Most unsuccessful people, of course, then are what. Smaller than they’re problems. My friends listen closely because this will radically change your life.
The secret to success is not to try and avoid or get rid of your problems. The secret to success is to grow yourself so you are bigger than any of your problems. One of the things I do in the live event is I draw this little chart. Go ahead and draw it on your piece of paper now if you want. It’s just a little T chart. On one side you have the size of you and the other side you have the size of the problem.
On the size of the problem draw a line there and draw yourself on the scale from one to ten, put a problem as number five. On the scale of one to ten is you put a you or a person as number two. Let me see. So now we’re looking at a level five problem but you happen to be a level two person. Is that a big problem or a little problem? Well that is a big problem right.
Let’s say you grow yourself. You work on yourself and you grow yourself to be a level eight person. Same level five problem. Big problem, little problem? That same problem turned into a little problem now. Let’s see what you grow yourself to be a level ten person. You look at that same level problem. Big problem, little problem? No problem. It doesn’t even register in your consciousness as a problem.
It’s just another check mark on your to do list. Well I’ll just go and do that now. No big deal. You don’t think twice about it. It’s like brushing your teeth. It’s never about the size of your problem. It’s always about the size of you. The fact is simple. Your wealth only can grow to the extent that you do. The goal is to grow yourself so you can handle any problems that might get in your way of creating wealth and then keeping your wealth once you have it.
That’s why it’s imperative you keep learning and you keep growing. There’s a universal principle that says at all points in time you are either growing or you are dying. Again, that’s a scientific principle. Look at a plant for example or a flower. If your plant isn’t growing, tell, me what’s it doing? It’s dying and the same with us. That’s why it’s a consistent and ongoing learning and ongoing growth.
It’s just like for example an athlete. You don’t expect an athlete to train for an event—for example, let’s say they’re a baseball player and they train everyday for years and years and they finally make the Major Leagues. Then what? What do they just stop practicing or they stop playing, stop growing. No because they’ll go backward. Same with us. They practice every day. They practice their skill and craft and who they are every day. Same with us.
You have to practice what we’re teaching you every single day. That’s like an ongoing learning, ongoing training, ongoing programming. Let’s do this. The declaration. Put your hands on your heart, repeat after me I am bigger than any problem. One more time. I am bigger than any problem. Go ahead and touch your head and say I have a Millionaire Mind. Good job. Let’s have some fun with it.
We call the Process of Manifestation where you remember what it was. Your thoughts lead to feelings lead to actions lead to results. Hopefully you will agree that to succeed in the real world it takes what. Action. What is it that usually prevents us from taking the action even if we know we should be doing that? Here’s the answer. Write it down.
Fear. Fear. The fact is that fear and doubt and worry are among our greatest obstacles not only to success but to happiness as well. Therefore, one of the biggest differences between rich people and poor and middle class people or unsuccessful people is that rich, successful people are willing to, write this down, act in spite of fear where most other people what do they do. They let fear stop them.
Susan Jeffers wrote a wonderful book entitled Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway. One of the biggest mistakes that most people make is waiting for the feeling of fear to subside and go away before they’re willing to act. These people usually wait forever.
One of the other programs we teach is called the Enlightened Warrior Training. The Warrior Training is the warrior is the way of action, action in the real world. There’s a saying that we use that the true warrior can tame the cobra of fear, tame the cobra. It doesn’t say kill the cobra. It doesn’t say run away from the cobra. It doesn’t say get rid of the cobra. It says what? Tame the cobra of fear.
Let me say this my friends. This is critical you understand this. It is not necessary to try and get rid of fear in order to succeed. The fact is that rich and successful people have fear. Rich and successful people have doubts. Rich and successful people have worry. They just don’t let those feeling stop them. Unsuccessful people have exactly the same feelings and they let those feelings stop them in their tracks.
How many of you would agree that we are creatures of habit? I suppose most of you would. Therefore, the secret again is to practice. What’s the word? Practice acting in spite of fear. Practice acting in spite of uncertainty. Practice acting in spite of inconvenience. Practice acting in spite of discomfort.
By the way, we’ve talked about uncertainty and in my live seminars I always ask how many of you have something going on in your life where you’re considering doing something but you’ve got some uncertainty around it. Everybody puts their hand up of course. I’m going to give you two words that will radically change your life. Here they are do it, do it. Just do it. You will be so far ahead doing versus not doing pretty well everything then thinking about it forever.
One of my things in my book says one step in the right direction is worth 100 years of thinking about it. Why? Because in thinking about it there’s nothing going on. It’s just planning. It’s preparation. Usually it’s worry. That’s all it is. Then what happens on day one when—let’s say for example you’re saying about starting a new business or a new project within your business or a new product and you’re thinking and thinking and thinking yeah, great. Think about it for a little bit and then do it.
Why? Because you’re going to learn so much more in the doing of it so you can see what reality is and then make the correction than thinking about it forever and never trying and when you finally try it’s going to change anyways isn’t it.
One of the things that I really believe is this that you will never regret what you did as much as what you didn’t do. Here’s the thing. Again, we’ve talked about inconvenience and we’ve talked about discomfort. Both of those by the way comfort and convenience are the two killer words to success. My friend it’s not always comfortable to do what it takes to create success. Hello. Not always convenient to do what it takes to create success.
Literally, I had a gentleman in Seattle. He was in the very back of the room. I was talking about the Millionaire Mind Intensive. He stands up and he wants to give me a testimonial. We were in a hurry and I said oh we’ll pass on it. He found this mike in the back of the room, a microphone, and he starts talking. He said Mr. Eker I’ve got to tell you what happened for my wife and my two kids who went to the Millionaire Mind Intensive.
The program I was talking about in Seattle was actually happening in Vancouver. The (inaudible) in Vancouver which is about a three hour drive. He says—I’m not going to get into it right now—but just glowing reports on his wife. She quadrupled her income. She’s ten times as happy. They don’t fight about money anymore.
His kids one of them has gone from Cs and Ds, never even an A in her whole life to As and Bs in University. I had to give him a lot of coaching there. I said, “Sir, would you like a little bit of coaching. I appreciate the testimonial but would you like some coaching for yourself?”
He goes, “Sure.” I go, “You’re broke. You’re broke and you always will be because of a four-hour drive or a four hour flight or a four day flight is going to stop you from doing whatever it takes to succeed, what else will stop you? Here’s the easy answer, anything. Anything will stop you. Why? Because you are a person in character that will be stopped. You have to choose. Either you are a person that will be stopped or you are a person that will not be stopped. That will determine your life.”
Here’s the thing. My feeling is this that the fact is that, at one point, I believe everyone was unstoppable but that was the day you were born and then came day two, which means that we were all trained, trained to be stopped based in fears, meaning that you now have to retrain yourself to be a person that can not and will not be stopped by anything or anyone period.
Let’s do the declaration. Put your hand on your heart. I act in spite of fear. Repeat that with me. I act in spite of fear. Touch your head and say I have a Millionaire Mind. Very good.
During some events we’ve talked a little bit about the Millionaire Mind Intensive. We’ve talked a little bit about the books but I want to help you understand something and it really is a gift. Because the rule is simple and that is that if you’re not earning the income that you want, you will have to change your Money Blueprint. First the roots, then comes the fruits.
If your income is inconsistent, you’re going to have to change your blueprint. If you’re earning decent money but you’re not managing it well, you have to change your blueprint. If you’re working way too hard with little or no balance, you have to change your blueprint. If you have money but you want to make sure you keep it, you have to change your Money Blueprint. Your current Money Blueprint will tend to stay with you and here’s the clincher. It will stay with you for the rest of your life unless you identify it and you change it. You are also going to learn at the event the world’s easiest money management method. How you manage money is another one of the critical differences between rich and successful people and unsuccessful people. I’m going to tell you a story that I believe will change your life. It’s this.
Imagine you’re walking down the street with a 5-year-old child. Being the kind and generous person that you are do you now go ahead and get them the triple scoop or not. The answer of course is of course not.
Why would you set them up to fail? They couldn’t even handle one scoop. What are you going to load them down with three scoops? Out of love and support you wouldn’t do that to them. You wouldn’t give them more. Guess what?
It’s exactly the same with the universe. Until you show you can handle what you already have, you won’t get anymore. Most people are running around with one or two scoops of money dripping all over the place. It’s a mess and they’re screaming give me more, give me more, give me more.
The universe is going why? I already gave it to you. Look what you did with it. Clean it up and I’ll give you more. We’re going to teach you in this most simplistic, easy, and fun way how to handle your money. You will become financially free from this method alone.
Part two as I said earlier is the inner game. Condition yourself for natural and automatic success using several extremely high impact processes.
