How is Secret #7 Working Out For You?

This is T. Harv Eker with some more thoughts on Secret #7 of Uncovering The Secrets To Your New Financial Blueprint: If You Want To Be Rich, Learn From Rich People.
I don’t know any successful people who didn’t have mentors help them get to where they are. People often ask me how I chose my mentors, and how I choose those whom I agree to mentor.
Let me put it this way. Have you ever seen that movie called The Karate Kid? If not, here’s the short version …
New kid comes to town, gets picked on by bullies, and an old martial arts master comes to his rescue. The kid hopes the master will teach him karate in order to learn how to defend himself.
The master agrees to teach him but starts the kid off by making him paint fences and buff old furniture.
“Wax on, wax off.”
The kid doesn’t understand why he’s doing these menial chores in order to learn karate, but eventually he learns that the physical movement of those chores is similar to that of martial arts techniques.
More important than karate, though, the kid learns the value of serving without complaint.
The moral of the story is: If you want a great mentor to teach you, GIVE, GIVE, GIVE to him or her, and don’t expect anything in return except for the learning. If you get anything more, it’s a bonus.
With the right mentor, you’re not only learning the skills necessary for success, but you’re also learning one of life’s most important lessons: It’s not what you get, it’s what you give.
For your freedom,
